is the home of Carter and Company, where we finally settled after a fairly turbulent ten years. Looking forward, we continue to strive to provide to the people in our small town the kind of fare that can be expected in much larger cities. We try to create a happy, inviting ambience with friendly service and of course, excellent food.
We are thrilled that Port Orchard keeps electing us the Best Desserts!
This is a picture from the very first Taste of Port Orchard, that was thrown together, quite successfully, with about two weeks notice, mostly by Grant, the then chef of Amy's on the Bay. There were probably 8 or so vendors, one band, and it was held in between the bleachers and the bandstand on the waterfront. POBSA has taken that over and done a tremendous job growing the event to one of the best weekends of the year. We have been thrilled to be involved in all of them!
...upstairs in the old Mall behind A&W, where I imagined I could run a succesful business enticing the many people who were and still are flocking to Ace McLendon's and Goodwill. I thought I could open 5 days a week, from noon to 6 and enjoy lots of time off!
That was close... but not quite!
The original space, upstairs in the (ahem) mall. We stayed there less than a year.
The Westbay Center, where we had a kitchen while we did retail in the Public Market
Tiny little display case for chocolate before we moved into the larger back room.
Hard to tell which festival this was, they all have big crowds when the weather is nice.
